"Much of what kindled my imagination as a child still does."

The vintage appeal series takes scraps and bits of magazine, catalog and bark cloth imagery from our parents and grandparents generation and through paint creates intimate scenarios that were considered taboo at the time.

"I'm trying to look behind the yellowed pages and see the private moments of the people that lived there".

This series was painted in 2004, and are painted with acrylic on stretched canvas.

Secret:  After a long hiatus, while painting these, Rory was pursuing two woman at one time.
